Timing of the Financial Aid awarding process
2026-27 Academic Year (Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Summer 2027)
An admitted student can access his or her Financial Aid Offer on Athena once the offer is created. Depending on the time of the year, students who have completed the appropriate Award Year’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Process and/or the Georgia Scholarship / Grant Application (GSFAPP) will be able to view either an Estimated Financial Aid Offer or an Official Financial Aid Offer on Athena. When the UGA Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) creates or revises an Estimated or Official Financial Aid Offer, the student is e-mailed instructions to log in and review his or her Financial Aid Offer on Athena.
