FAFSA Changes for 2017-18

Effective with the 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process, students were be able to submit the FAFSA as early as October 1st, 2016 (rather than waiting until January 1, 2017), and students and parents will report their income information from an earlier tax year. Until then students and parents will continue to report their prior year income when completing the 2016-17 FAFSA.
