Official Awards On Athena
Official Awards reflect the applicable Award Year’s Cost of Attendance (COA) and HOPE Scholarship or Zell Miller Scholarship award amounts as well as any other Federal Student Aid (FSA), Outside Scholarships and Other Resources of which OSFA has been informed. When we create or revise Official Awards, we automatically accept all gift aid that appears on the student’s award; therefore, a student who has an Official Award comprised only of gift aid is not required to take any further action on that award.
2017-18 Official Awards - OSFA is currently creating and revising 2017-18 Official Awards for the students who have completed the 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Process and/or the Georgia Scholarship/Grant Application (GSFAPPS).
2018-19 Official Awards - OSFA anticipates it will begin creating 2018-19 Official Awards on or around June 1, 2018, for the students who have completed the 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Process and/or the Georgia Scholarship/Grant Application (GSFAPPS).
See How to View or Accept/Decline Official Awards on Athena for step-by-step guidance on this process.
