Description
The UGA Completion Grant provides one-time financial aid support to undergraduates who have one semester remaining to graduate.
Process
OSFA will notify potential recipients by e-mail and provide a Completion Grant Agreement form for the student to complete with his/ her academic advisor indicating the courses required for graduation.
Amount
Varies based upon unmet need and available funding (Awards typically range between $500 and $2000. The maximum award is $2000.)
Eligibility
Priority for the Completion Grant is given to students who have exhausted their Federal Direct Student Loan or Federal Pell Grant lifetime eligibility.
Students must:
- complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process;
- have remaining unmet need (i.e., defined as a student’s estimated financial need minus the total of his/her estimated financial assistance);
- have one semester remaining to graduate and be able to complete all remaining graduation requirements within that final semester. This includes completion of the Examinations on United States and Georgia History and Examinations on the Constitutions requirements.
