If You Have Not Completed Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

If you wish to apply for federal student aid for the academic year in which you plan to enroll at UGA, you should review the UGA Financial Aid Application Process and complete the appropriate academic year FAFSA on the Web (FOTW). UGA's federal school code number is 001598.

If You Have Completed Your FAFSA

If you have already completed the FAFSA for the academic year in which you plan to enroll at UGA, but did not list UGA (federal school code 001598) as one of the schools to receive your information, you need to Login to your FOTW and add UGA's federal school code.

HOPE and Zell Scholarship

HOPE Scholarship or Zell Miller Scholarship students should read the Overview section of our Application Process Web page for application information.

Cancelling Aid At Prior School

If you are transferring to UGA in a Spring or Summer Term and your previous institution awarded you federal student aid for the Spring and/or Summer, you should contact the financial aid office at your previous school to cancel your Spring and/or Summer financial aid Award. We will not be able to award you federal student aid for the Spring and/or Summer until all previously awarded federal aid for the Spring and/or Summer has been canceled.
